
Noise and vibrations from railways and trains
We provide a wide range of services and products in the field of noise and vibrations from rail traffic. We have been doing this for decades, allowing us to build extensive experience in policy and technical consultancy, design, and measurements. This enables us to optimally support our clients with questions and new developments related to rail infrastructure and vehicles.
Our knowledge and experience have been built through intensive collaboration with our clients on many (innovative) topics related to noise and vibrations from rail traffic. Together, we helped shape the noise design of the HSL-South, rail roughness management as a noise mitigation measure for local and national railways, and the implementation of the railway noise register in the Netherlands. Over the years, we have conducted measurements and provided advice on various railway bridges, mini barriers, noise diffractors, lubrication systems for curve noise, cost-benefit analysis, vibrations in tunnels, rail dampers, and new vehicles for both national rail and tram and metro systems.
